History

In 1974, a major trailer manufacturer (“Brown Trailer Mfg.”) exited the business leaving a national branch network without a source of parts supply. At that time, H. Joseph Hinton (“Mr. Hinton”) was working for American Natural Resources, Inc., a conglomerate on the NYSE, in its transportation division. Mr. Hinton saw an opportunity to fill a void in the aftermarket parts market and New Life Transport Parts Center (“New Life”) was born as a small subsidiary of a huge conglomerate. Mr. Hinton retired in 1978.

Mr. Hinton was proud to see his vision live on when in 1983, his son, Robert L. Hinton led a purchase of New Life from American Natural Resources, Inc. and made it a family run business as it exists today owned principally by the Hinton family. At that time New Life was still in its infancy and had only 19 employees and two locations.

Bob’s vision was to build a company for the long-term that focused on growth and stability and benefited all interested parties in the business: customers, employees, suppliers, communities and owners. New Life over the past 30 years has become one of the most successful and respected companies serving the heavy-duty aftermarket business. In 2009, Trailmobile, one of the oldest and trusted names in our industry, was purchased and became part of the New Life family of companies. Today, the business has over 425 employees and 20 locations and is still growing. Bob continues to lead the Company as its President and CEO.

A lot of things have changed over the past 30 years, but New Life’s mission has remained the same: to reliably furnish quality parts, at a competitive price, on time. The Company delivers most of its product with its own delivery equipment, with fill rates much higher than the industry standard. Our goal is to help make our customers successful, knowing that our success will follow.

Thank you for allowing us to bring “New Life” to your transportation equipment.
